Community Worth Building For

As you can imagine, we spend most of our time thinking about literal foundations (i.e., the ones that hold up houses). 

But we also think a lot about building community, right here in Missoula. Building community also takes a certain kind of foundation. And both of these foundations take time, showing up when it's not glamorous, and are stronger when enough people care to pitch in.

That's why, beyond job sites and blueprints, you'll often find Confluence involved in the local nonprofits and outreach efforts that make Missoula Montana such a special place to be. Below is a quick snapshot of organizations we like to support:

MTCX and the next generation of riders.

There's something about watching a kid land their first jump or finish a race they didn't think they could do that puts things into perspective. We've been proud supporters of MTCX events for the past two years, particularly the youth coaching side of things.

Five Valleys Land Trust and the open spaces and trails that make our town so unique.

We build in the Missoula valley because we love living here and complementing the built environment to the natural one. The trails, open space, and river corridors in Missoula are unique. Five Valleys Land Trust does the quiet, unglamorous work of keeping Missoula's landscape accessible and intact for the long run, which is an easy mission for us to get behind.

Missoula Youth Homes and the kids who need us most.

Not every young person in this community has a stable place to land. Missoula Youth Homes provides shelter, support, and a voice for vulnerable kids when they need it most. It's the kind of work that doesn't always get talked about, but it matters as much as anything we do.

Yes, we build houses, but we also build relationships. And the job doesn't really end when the final walkthrough is done. Missoula gave us a place to start and grow from. Supporting the people and places that make it special feels like the right way to do business.
